How to make the iWork suite a free download for current Mac owners that don't own the apps already. Hi all, For anyone having issues getting the upgrade, or if you’ve never owned the iWork suite, so don’t have the apps to update, you can just download the iWork ’09 trial version (links still available online, if you Google it). You can turn on Location Services on a Mac to share the computer's location using its IP address. This is essential for using apps like Maps.

In the Calendar app on your Mac, double-click or force click an event to view event details, then click Add Location. (You can also select an event, then use the Touch Bar.). Enter an address, a business name, or a type of business (such as “coffee shop” or “museum”), then select a location from the list of locations that match what you entered.

Turn on Share My Location

You can share your location from your Mac if you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch signed in with the same Apple ID. If you only have a Mac, you can’t share your location. Spark mac app login.

1. In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.

2. /mac-ios-app-manager.html. Select Me in the People list, then click the Info button on the map.

3. Turn on Share My Location (if it’s not already on).

4. To allow location sharing requests, turn on Allow Friend Requests (if it’s not already on).

   If you turn off Allow Friend Requests, you only receive location sharing requests from those who are sharing their location with you.

Share your location

1. In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.

   To see your current location, click the Current Location button in the lower-left corner of the map.

2. Click Share My Location at the bottom of the People list.

3. Type a name, an email address, or a phone number in the To field. As you type, Find My suggests matching addresses from the Contacts app or from people you’ve previously shared your location with.

   You can also click the Add button to the right of the To field to see all your contacts. Click a contact in the list, then click the email address or phone number.

4. Click Send, then choose how long you want to share your location.

Set a label for your location

1. In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.

2. Select Me in the People list, then click the Info button on the map.

3. Click Edit Location Name, then select an option (such as Home or Gym), or click Add Custom Label, enter a name, then press Return.

Stop sharing your location

1. In the Find My app on your Mac, click People.

2. Do one of the following:

   • Stop sharing with a friend: In the People list, select a name, click the Info button on the map, then choose Stop Sharing My Location.

   • Hide your location from everyone: In the People list, select Me, click the Info button on the map, then turn off Share My Location.

   Ask Siri. Say something like: “Hide from my friends.”Learn how to ask Siri.

You can also view all the location notifications that you created or that your friends have created about you. See Set location notifications for friends.

After you set up Find My, you can locate a lost or stolen device, or even help a friend find their missing device. You can also share your location with friends, family, and contacts, ask to follow a friend’s location, or get directions to a friend’s location.

How to turn on Find My for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Find My.
4. If you want friends and family to know where you are, turn on Share My Location.
5. Tap Find My [device], then turn on Find My [device].
   
6. To see your device even when it's offline, turn on Enable Offline Finding. To have the location of your device sent to Apple when the battery is low, turn on Send Last Location.
7. If you want to be able to find your lost device on a map, make sure that Location Services is turned on. To do this, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and turn on location services.

How to add your AirPods or Apple Watch to Find My

If your AirPods or your Apple Watch are paired with your iPhone, they're automatically set up when you turn on Find My iPhone.

How to turn on Find My for your Mac

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
2. Click Security & Privacy, then click the Privacy tab.
3. If the padlock in the lower left is locked , click it, then enter the name and password of the administrator.
4. Select Location Services.
5. Select the Enable Location Services checkbox.
6. Next to System Services, click Details.
7. Make sure that the checkbox next to Find My Mac is selected.
8. Click Done, then return to the main System Preferences window.
9. Click Apple ID, then click iCloud.
10. Select the checkbox next to Find My Mac.
